Group project in collaboration with Scania
Autonomous trucks open up for a variety of new possible market segments and the task was to look into one of these, hygiene.
The idea was to create a product for Scania to solve the basic needs, a first product to step into a new market. Making it possible for the costumer to feel clean when going to sleep after a day of hard work. By doing this setting a new standard on hygiene.
It's an absurd product, in a good way

FRAMING THE PROBLEM
The basic needs of hygiene are barely covered and the standard today's seems to be at the minimum and the need at a maximum. The market was poorly developed and, as a start, different kind of hygiene standards, as visualized concepts, was iterated with the user. From this, we were able to create a clear picture of the user needs and a solution to enable the driver to go from work to personal time was sought.
Created around the user. By using the existing infrastructure of Scania ONE in the cabin the product is simplified thus reducing the weight and volume. Creating a product that is easier to use.
The development of the inside was highly researched around the risk of developing any legionella bacterias and the solution with Scania ONE made it possible to use only one freshwater tank. Furthermore, the inside was isolated with a layer of foam to create a sturdiness to the product.
